Laing Acting Academy Class (updated 8/18/26)

Exclusive to Laing Middle School Students, this immersive acting class offers a deeper dive into theatre while focusing on the real-world skills pre-teens need most in today's tech-heavy, AI-driven world. No prior experience is required…just a willingness to engage, connect, and grow. Through improv, role-play, character work, and scene study, students strengthen their communication, collaboration, and creative thinking skills. In an age where screens often replace face-to-face interaction, this class provides a much-needed space to build empathy, confidence, and authentic self-expression. The focus is on personal growth over performance, with several opportunities for families to be invited into the classroom throughout the year. The season concludes with a low-pressure showcase…a chance for students to share a scripted scene and demonstrate the skills and growth they’ve gained throughout the class. New to Acting Academy? Sign up for a FREE trial class!

Here is the link for registration. I think the one currently on the Laing website goes to a different class. The class price is also $89 a month.
